Buy Of The Week – The Mark – 14th floor Southwest 2 Bedroom

The Mark is located in Downtown San Diego’s East Village, just two blocks away from Petco Park. The community is one of my favorite high-rise options in the area. The Mark is one of the few buildings in East Village that has both a concierge and a pool. The building also has onsite management, a fitness facility, spa, and conference room.

What makes this property great?

The southwest corner in residence is my favorite floor plan, excluding the penthouse level residences. The corner offers some nice bay views, but what I like are the stunning views of the city. There are also some views of Petco Park. The residence has a lot of windows and feels really open. I also like that the two bedrooms are on opposite sides of the condo and the guest bathroom is by the second bedroom. There is even a built in dry bar with a wine fridge.

This property is honestly one of the best priced residences I have seen in a while. To put it into perspective, there hasn’t been a single 2 bedroom home to sell under $730,000 in the last 2 years! There have been 15 two bedrooms to sell during that time period, ranging between $730,000 – $1,279,000. The average price per square foot was $659.65, while this property is listed at $563.71. That is almost $100 less per square foot. Considering this property is on, what I consider, the best corner in the building and it is sitting fairly high on the 14th floor, this is a great deal!
