January 2020 Market Update – Downtown San Diego Condo Market
The number of sales jumped up by 11 homes in December versus November, which is a surprise. In December of 2018, there were only 42 sales. In December of 2019, there were 61, which is a 45.2% increase. The number of sales in quarter 4 from 2018 to 2019 increased by 8.7%.
Inventory dropped down to 4.7 months due to the decrease in active listings and the increase in sales in December. We are likely going to see a substantial increase in the number of listings in January, so the month’s supply will likely climb.
