June 2019 Market Update – Downtown San Diego Condo Market
We finally saw a substantial bump in sales and overall volume in Downtown San Diego. There has been an increase in the number of sales starting in March and it continues to climb. In May we had a total of 72 sales, which is a 9.1% increase from the previous year and a 14.3% increase from April 2019. Even with the growth in the number of sales, we are still hovering around a 5.1 month supply of inventory with a total of 303 active listings. We also had 76 homes go into escrow this past month, so we should have a decent June.
Another thing that is worth mentioning is Savina had its first closings yesterday and they will continue on for about 3 months. The building is over 60% sold out, so they have approximately 175 homes that will be closing over that time period. There are still plenty of great options in the building.
