Manchester will break ground next month on its $1.5 billion Navy complex project. There will be a total of five buildings that will take over the space. The project will feature a waterfront park, and a 5-Star Manchester Boutique Hotel with office and retail space. There will be a 4-Star Manchester Gateway Hotel with retail and Medal of Honor Museum. Additional building’s for office and retail space and two other buildings featuring the US Navy Headquarters and Seaport building with office and retail space. These buildings will be taking over what is currently a partial parking lot at the corner of Pacific Highway and Broadway to Pacific Highway and Harbor drive. This development will feature fine dining restaurants, entertainment, public parking and luxury retails which will overlook the waterfront.

Project Highlights:

  • Waterfront Park
  • 5-Start Manchester Boutique Hotel with office and retail space

These buildings will be iconic waterfront property and will be a tourist destination for years to come. Right behind the development you will find Bosa’s newest completed stunning development Pacific Gate. The whole project is expected to be completed by mid-2021. Manchester secured a 99-year lease back in 2006 but many lawsuits prevented them from obtaining financing. With this development, it will help create a tremendous amount of jobs and hopefully be enticing for businesses to take over the prime office space locations overlooking the water.

San Diego has always been a destination for people from all around the world. I believe this project will be a great addition to this area and will make downtown San Diego even more enticing for people of all ages. There will be multiple hotels coming online in the next couple years which will help accommodate more tourists and will be a huge benefit to the city year-round especially during San Diego’s biggest event comic-con.
