May 2017 Market Update – Downtown San Diego Condo Market
We have seen a slight trend up in inventory. Over the last 3 months, we have averaged about 60 sales a month in downtown, but we also had 125 new listings hit the market in April. The number of active listings jumped over the 200 mark, landing at 204.
The average price and price per square foot declined a bit after the sudden spike in March. Overall, the average sales price is up about 3.8% from April of 2016 to April of 2017 and the average price per square foot is up about 9.0% from the previous year.
