The long time established bar & restaurant called Neighborhood recently closed its doors for renovations. One of my favorite things about Neighborhood was the exotic draft beers that were constantly rotating and the house made dipping sauces.
The Pendry hotel in the Gaslamp quarter has been a big success and now Robert Green who is the developer is looking at the site where Dick’s Last Resort was. While the plans are still in the works Robert is looking to submit the plans for the hotel in summer to Civic San Diego.
The fifth and J Historic Grand Pacific Hotel building will be undergoing a renovation. The Grand Pacific Hotel is located on a busy street in Gaslamp where locals, tourists and conventioneers walk past every day to get to restaurants and shops in the nearby area.
An exciting new development in Cortez Hill is pending approval! Narven Enterprises, a San Diego based real estate management and investment firm, has proposed a 16-story all suites hotel located on 5th Avenue and Ash Street.
Gaslamp’s Reading cinema on Fifth Avenue and G street is getting a big makeover! A little bit about the history of the theater. Pacific Theaters opened its doors in 1997 with a 73,000 square-foot complex, 2,906-seats, two levels, and 15 movie screens.

San Diego Symphony has proposed to turn its current Waterfront Park summer concert pop up venue at the Embarcadero Marina Park South into a permanent venue. The proposed venue will be able to hold 2x the capacity as it current venue.
