Why should you go?

Oyster Fest isn’t just another beautiful weekend in San Diego.  This event will have some great food, drinks and live music. They will also have oyster eating contests and an area where you can visit rescue dogs from their charity Labs and More.

This location is similar to the Best Coast Beer Fest happening on March 12th. The Embarcadero Park – North is located on a peninsula just South of Seaport Village and has amazing views of the San Diego Bay, Coronado, and Downtown San Diego’s skyline. Enjoy listening to live music, suckling down oysters and grabbing a drink in one of San Diego’s most beautiful scenes.

The event coordinators are recommending that attendees park in the convention center parking structure just a short walk away. It costs $15 for all day parking and the structure closes at 11:30pm according to the festivals website. If you live locally, I recommend not driving and just spending the money on an Uber or Lyft ride over. It will save you the stress of parking and if you have a few beverages, it keeps the roads safe.

As a resident downtown, please remember to keep the park clean. Dispose of your trash during the event. I run through this park a few times a week and I would like to see it as clean as it always is. Have fun and I hope to see you there!
